A city filter looks simple. Pick Chicago, get Chicago firms. In practice the address on a listing tells you where a company registered its office. It does not tell you where the people who would build your project work.
This guide explains when a city page is useful, how to read one, and where to go next. The city pages here are deliberately small. A short list you can read in five minutes beats a long list you skim.
When a city page helps
Use a city page when one of these is true:
- Your security or procurement team wants a vendor in the same legal jurisdiction.
- You expect on-site workshops during discovery.
- You want working hours that overlap with your own team without negotiation.
If none apply, start from a region page or a specialty page instead. A city is a narrow lens, and you may miss a better fit one time zone away.
The three city pages
- New York: firms headquartered in the city. Check which team would staff your project before assuming proximity.
- Chicago: firms with a Chicago headquarters. Useful for Midwest buyers who want in-person sessions.
- Singapore: firms headquartered in Singapore, such as Webpuppies, which lists alignment to PDPA and AI Verify frameworks. Relevant if your data or customers sit in Southeast Asia. Also see the wider Asia page.
Each page lists the same published fields: headquarters, size, regions and specialty tags. Nothing is paid for or ranked by a hidden score.
Smaller cities
Some firms sit outside the big metros: Harrogate, Darmstadt, Dayton, Varna, Guadalajara and Pitești. Each has a short profile in AI consulting firms in smaller cities.
Questions to ask any firm on a city page
- Where do the engineers on my project sit today, not where is the head office?
- Who is the named delivery lead, and are they in the city we are looking at?
- Which parts of the work happen on-site, and which are remote?
- Which model providers and cloud regions do you use, and can we choose?
From a city page to a comparison
Once you have two or three names, put them next to a reference point. The site publishes side-by-side pages that compare each listed firm with the featured partner, for example asaasin.ai vs Webpuppies, asaasin.ai vs Thoughtworks and asaasin.ai vs ocampor. The featured partner publishes this site, so read those pages as a disclosed comparison, not a neutral ranking. The full set is listed in AI implementation firms compared side by side.
Pair that with how to compare AI implementation companies and AI consulting firms: boutique vs mid-size vs large.
Checklist
- Decide whether location is a real requirement or a preference.
- Open the city page and read every listing, not just the first.
- Confirm where the delivery team sits for each firm.
- Check specialty tags against your project type.
- Open one comparison page per shortlisted firm.
- Ask each firm for a reference client with a problem like yours.
